Air Quality

(Hill County) – The Hill County Health Department has issued a warning to all residents that the Air Quality is currently at the unhealthy level for sensitive groups. Kim Berg the Public Health Director for the Hill County Public Health Department talks about what sensitive groups can do to stay healthy.

One of the best things you can do during an event like this when our air is starting to deteriorate is stay inside if you can. Limit you activity outdoors, limit how strenuous your activity is outdoors as well. If they do have asthma, make sure they take their daily medications as prescribed by their doctors and have their rescue inhalers preset. And I would just say to monitor that air quality. We do have an air quality monitor provided us through Department of Environmental Quality and there’s a website that we’ve shared multiple times on our Facebook page and people can always check that air quality, it is updated every hour.“-Berg
