Alberta Man Killed after Falling Off Motorcycle

TOOLE COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – An 80-year-old man from Coutts, Alberta, Canada was killed on Thursday night when he fell off his motorcycle on I-15 north in Toole County.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 10:11 PM at mile marker 358, when the Alberta man applied his brakes for an unknown reason. The vehicle started skidding and the rider lost control and fell off his Harley Davidson. The motorcycle departed the roadway, but the rider remained in the right lane of the interstate and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial report from MHP said that the man was run over by a pickup truck, but the narrative was retracted and revised.

Excessive speed is a suspected factor in the crash.

The road was clear and dry.
