(Washington) Insight Pharmaceuticals is recalling one lot of Americaine Topical Anesthetic Spray due to the the presence of Benzene (ben-zeen), which is known to cause cancer.
While benzene is not an ingredient in the products, a recent review found that a sample from one lot of the product showed a low level of benzene came from the propellant, the chemical that sprays the product out of the can.
