Assistant Police Chief details Havre drug arrests

(Havre) As previously reported earlier this week, 2 individuals have been convicted of distributing meth and fentanyl in the Havre community, with one being sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Following up on this story, New Media Broadcasters spoke with CJ Reichelt, Assistant Chief of the Havre Police Department, to ask for more details about how Havre PD went about this arrest.

“So in January of 2021, we got some information about some people that were trafficking fentanyl from Billings up to Havre to distribute it. We were able to identify the three individuals who were bringing it up from Billings, and conducted some surveillance. So they were all arrested and taken to jail, upon search at the jail we located around 30 grams of methanphetamine and a little over 100 fentanyl pills”
