(NMB) The 2nd Annual Bear Paw Marathon takes place this Saturday June 4th. The event includes a full marathon, half marathon and 5K Fun run/walk. All runs will begin in the Bear Paw Mountains and motorists should be aware that the southbound lane is for runners and will be closed for the morning, the North bound lane will have pilot cars. The finish line for all races is Tilleman Field on the campus of MSU Northern. Havre Chamber Executive Director Jessica Fagerbakke says everyone is encouraged to cheer on the runners at the finish line.
” The first runners got into the finish line about 9am, so we will have a finish line party set up from 8am until 2pm. We will have a bounce house, cornhole, cash bar, Bear Paw Bowls will be there with their Acai Bowls, we’ll have music.”
The Full marathon starts at 6am, half marathon at 7am and the 5K starts at 9am. People are asked to avoid Butte Road from 7am until noon. New Media Broadcasters will have results from Saturday Bear Paw Marathon
