GLACIER COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 22-year-old Belgrade man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Glacier County.
The time of the crash in unknown, but the vehicle and the victim were discovered on Monday morning. The crash report states that the Belgrade man was driving a Chevy Avalanche south on BIA Route 1. The driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and departed the roadway to the left.
The vehicle then began to rotate clockwise and slide. The vehicle then tripped on the soft dirt and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels with the driver being ejected.
The Belgrade man was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors in the crash.
The road was bare and dry.
