(Great Falls) – The Montana Farmers Union is a staunch supporter of youth in the state, providing camps to events to scholarships.
With graduation season in full swing, MFU Chief of Staff Matt Rains spoke of recent winners of MFU scholarships, prominently noting a senior from Big Sandy.
“We had Lance Rutledge. Great application scored very high and so, he ended up with three different scholarships. We have two legacy ones, John Korsbeck and a Bud Daniels scholarship that the foundation carries. They were historical leaders for the foundation and so, they’ve got their legacy scholarship that we offer and then Montana Farmer’s Union Foundation just supported four, thousand-dollar scholarships itself and those went to Grayce Siderius, Abigail Clark, Lance Rutledge and Shea Ostberg. Really excited for those kids. Great application. They are going to go out and do some amazing things.”-Rains
In addition, scholarships were made available from Chouteau (show tow), Flathead, and Cascade Counties. Lance Rutledge was also the recipient of the $500 scholarship from Chouteau County.
