(Farmington, Utah) – Big Sky Conference Commissioner, Tom Wistriclil, receives five-year deal to head the league till 2030.
On Tuesday the Big Sky Conference put out a press release announcing the commissioner’s extension. earlier this summer it was announced that Wistricill was named as the College Coaches Association vice president and will take over as president in 2027.
“I am honored to continue leading the Big Sky and am thankful for the leadership of and support from our dedicated presidents’ council,” Wistricil stated in Big Sky press release.
Wistrcill has over 30 years of experience in college athletics ranging from college athletic departments to Division 2 conference commissioner. Entering his 8th year as Commissioner of the Big Sky Conference, Wistrcill, is also the second ever representative from the Big Sky to serve on the NCAA Division I men’s basketball committee.
