Blaine County Fair Pushed Dates Back to August for 2020

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The Blaine County Fair has changed its fair dates for next year. Fair Manager Debbie Ramberg says that the fair will take place from August 12th through the 16th next year and the change is likely permanent.

Ramberg says that they ran into conflicts for the carnival and rodeo dates, and decided to push the fair back to accommodate the rodeo. The only open date they could find for the carnival was July 4th, which is a Saturday. Ramberg says there are also bigger fairs in Montana that weekend, which would pull rodeo performers away from their fair.

Ramberg says they are not sure if they will have a carnival next year as there aren’t many options in the state, but they are working on filling up their midway. She also hopes that the later date will allow for more produce entries into the open class judging next year.
