CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Raised in Harlem and a 2018 MSU-Northern graduate with a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering-Technology, Trent Noel is excited to serve the Hi-Line as a Family Consumer Sciences/4-H Extension Agent for Blaine County.
Noel is a month into his job after transitioning from work in the Maintenance Department in Blaine County and says he is beginning to settle into his new role.
“I’ve done a lot of trainings and met a lot of new people and gotten to know all of the people I’ll be working with through these trainings. I’m most excited to get started doing some programming and outreach to kids and adults and get to know the community better.”
Noel is now the second Extension Agent for Blaine County, joining Ag/4-H Agent Juli Snedigar. Noel says residents of Blaine County will benefit from having a second agent on hand.
“It’s going to be super beneficial. Right now, the county is kind of at a disconnect with so many transitions in the past. So it’s going to be nice to have a consistent (presence) and somebody that knows some of the community members. I know a lot of the community members. There’s a few that I’m still reaching out to, but just being able to start and know the people is a big step forward, too.”
Noel says he has an open-door policy and is interested in talking with members of the community. To contact Blaine County Extension, call 357-3200.
