Havre, MT – With so many multi-sport athletes, head coach of Havre High Blue Pony basketball, Waylon Burgess, knows that there are challenges that face his team as they look to transition sports.
This year football ended early, and coach Burgess has taken advantage to prepare his team fir a long season.
“Last couple weeks after football ended, we’ve been getting 20-25 kids in the gym every night. It’s been kind of nice, just kind of getting this build up, the calm before the storm is kind of what we call it. just been really excited for these days to finally come to can get rolling.” Burgess said.
The Blue Ponies will battle East Helena on the road to open the season on December 6. The Blue Ponies won’t play their first home game until January.
