Havre, MT – Blue Pony girls basketball is off to another tremendous start this season with an 9-1 record.
A key to that start for the Havre is their defense holding opponents to 33.8 points per game. Head coach of the Ponies Tommy Told New Media Broadcasters why their defense is so effective.
“Ball Pressure. We are an athletic team, so we like to pick you up in our full court man to man and even if we are in our halfcourt man we like to get up on you. I believe our team does a good job when we do pressure the ball and understanding I might get beat off the dribble a couple times, but I’ve got my teammates helping me behind, so I think that’s what has helped us this year.” Coach Brown said.
Coach Browns defense has not given up more than 51 points in any game yet this season.
