Body Found on the Milk River

FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMBI) –  A body has been found on the Milk River.

Thomasine Walker, 33, was recovered by Fort Belknap Law Enforcement officers Monday, January 27, after they spotted her body lying on ice along the Milk River near the Fort Belknap Agency Dam.

The Blaine County Undersheriff, Chris Adair, does not believe that Walker was reported missing before her death.

Walker’s body was transported to the Billings Crime Lab for an autopsy Wednesday January, 29.

Fort Belknap Law Enforcement urge people to stay away from crime scene while they continue to investigate the incident, as well as to stay off the river as warmer temperatures have caused the ice to be very unstable.
