Box Elder Man Pleads Not Guilty to Three Felonies in U.S. District Court

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A Box Elder man pleaded not guilty to three felonies in U.S. District Court on Tuesday for allegedly abusing his girlfriend on multiple occasions.

According to court documents filed on January 9, Eric Shawn Roasting Stick, 37, was indicted by a Grand Jury on felony charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault resulting in substantial bodily injury and domestic assault by habitual offender for alleged incidents that occurred between March and July 2019.

Roasting Stick was arraigned on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty on all three counts.

Roasting Stick remains in federal custody. A jury trial is scheduled for March 16.

If convicted of the most serious crime, Roasting Stick faces a maximum 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. The case was investigated by the FBI.
