Havre, MT – Last weekend Havre High Softball opened up their regular season with a win over East Helena and a loss to Dillion.
The Blue Ponies won a close one against East Helena 12-10 before getting blown out by Dillion 13-1. Despite the final result against the Beavers, head coach Tony Vigliotti remains excited about his team’s improvement throughout the season.
“We’re so young, they’re just going to get better every day in practice. Every time they step on the field and compete, they are going to get better and learn something. We can practice and we can do all the reps, we can talk about things but until you experience it on the field in competition that’s really when you learn, so this group is going learn a lot and improve a lot the entire year.” Coach Vigliotti said.
Havre will host Lewistown on Tuesday April 7 with varsity first pitch at 5p.m. It’s the Blue Ponies home opener.
