(NMB) – The Frontier conference has doubled in size, and with more conference members comes tougher conference opponents. This is breakdown number four of the 2025 Frontier Conference realignment breakdown series.
Yesterday MSU-Northern Athletic Director Christien Oberquell touched on how the SkyLights volleyball schedule will play out, and how much traveling will impact the team. This however, will strengthen the frontier conference as a volleyball league. On today’s breakdown Oberquell explains the quality of volleyball programs of that are joining the conference and how it will become a much tougher league to play in.
“Bellevue, they took second in the nation last year, so they are gonna tough” Said Oberquell “Our fans know Montana Tech is always tough and (Montana) Western was tough last year. We are starting to get a reputation in the nation that we do have good volleyball up here, and now it’s even gotten better. Mayville was just a couple games away from qualifying for the first round. Dickenson, the have had four or five past national championship teams, So it’s going to be very good volleyball and that’s gonna elevate the level of player and level of competition that people can come and watch.”
Tournament teams and past champions enter the frontier conference and will stiffen the competition.
