BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – Citing the priority of the health and safety of the public and their employees, the Bureau of Reclamation has announced the restriction of overnight camping and group use areas at sites they manage east of the continental divide in Montana.
Locations included in this restriction are Fresno, Nelson, Tiber, Canyon Ferry and Clark Canyon Reservoirs.
Day use areas remain open, but social distancing must be maintained and all bathroom facilities are closed due to safety concerns.
Boat launching ramps will also remain open where possible.
The Tiber Marina remains closed until approximately mid-May. This opening is tentative and may be re-evaluated depending on the COVID-19 situation.
