HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The nomination deadline has passed for municipal elections in Hill County.
For the position of Havre Mayor, Finance Director Doug Kaercher was the only candidate to file. Current Mayor Tim Solomon will not be seeking another term.
For Ward One Alderman for Havre City Council, Kimberly Bolta was the only candidate to file. Incumbent Terry Lilletvedt did not file for re-election.
For Ward Two Alderman, Heather Parker was the only candidate to file. Karen Swenson did not file for re-election.
For the two seats up for election representing Ward Three, the incumbents were the only candidates to file. Lindsey Ratliff is running for another four-year term, while Andrew Brekke is running for a two year unexpired term.
The only race with multiple candidates to file in Havre was for Ward Four Alderman. Incumbent Sarah Mckinney will be facing off against Tony Gabrielsen for a four-year term.
And for City Judge, incumbent Janie Hedstrom was the only candidate to file for the four-year term.
For the town of Hingham, Thomas Peterson was the only person to file for Mayor. Incumbent Ray Lipp did not enter his name in the running.
For the two at-large Alderman positions on the ballot, incumbents Roger Haas and Dillon Lipp were the only people to file for election.
Although the nomination deadline has closed, people can still enter races as a declared write-in.
All races are non-partisan.
There is unlikely to be a primary for the election due to the limited number of candidates.
The general election is scheduled for November 2nd.
