(Havre) Montana State University Northern recently held their annual awards ceremony; giving out awards for student excellence or achievement by faculty, in addition to awarding grant and scholarship money for students to use towards their education at MSUN
New Media Broadcasters spoke with MSUN Chancellor Greg Kegel to get comment on this year’s awards.
“I’ve stood on that podium now for 11 years as the chancellor giving away the money, and every single year we’ve given more money to more students. That’s a great thing to be able to do that”
Kegel says that giving these scholarships helps students who need the money to finish their education and also honors the endowments and donations that people from the community and greater region have given to the university throughout its history.
