Chester Sets Record Cold

Chester set a record for coldest daily temperature on Thursday, October 26th.

According to data compiled by AgGro Weather Media, the Chester area measured in at 4 degrees below zero, beating the previous record of 3 degrees above zero set in 1942.

This measurement was also the coldest reported temperature in the nation for that day, with the next coldest being Gold Butte at 3 below zero and Dunkirk at 2 below zero.

This comes as northern Montana faces it’s first snowfall of the season, with many regions reporting lower teens to single digit temperatures.
