Sugarbeeters Secure First Road Victory

Harlem, MT – Friday Night Mike Jones’ Sugarbeeters looked strong for their first road win.

Sugarbeeter football was on the road for the third time this season and was still looking for their first victory away from home.

The starters for chinook jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead off of two passing touchdowns from Ryan Bell. Bell threw two more touchdowns in the first quarter and another in the second to take a 38-0 lead entering the break.

In the second half Sugarbeeters were outscored 20-8 and head coach of Chinook, Mike Jones, started his backup quarterback in Patrick Mckinzie.

Coach Jones said was looking to get his younger players road experience “We subbed down quite a bit and the reason we subbed is you know everyone’s got Brusses and boo boos and stuff this time of the season. So, we made a conscience effort of subbing to make sure we get film for those younger guys so that if we need some depth or when we need to play guys, we’ll have film for them.”

Chinook is back home this week hosting Box Elder. Kickoff from Hoon field is at 7p.m. and you can listen on KRYK.
