The Chinook girls’ basketball team is coming off another victory against Fort Benton on Thursday night. New Media Broadcasters talked with coach Mike Seymour after the game, and he said that his team is coming together and gives them all the credit for maintaining a strong bond over the course of the year so far.
“They seem to be getting along with one another. Roles have been redefined again. It’s all them, they’re buying in to everything that we’re doing. They’re continuing to work hard both in the classroom, on the floor and also in the weight room.”
The next test for the Lady Beeters’ (8-0) is a road trip to Shelby, where they beat the Coyotes back on Dec. 16, (64-35). Coach Seymour emphasized the last time they beat Shelby that the 3-point defense was outstanding and will have to be the focal point again to getting a victory.
“When we go to Shelby, that’s a conference game. Shelby is going to be at home. They are a little bit smaller team. They like to shoot the three ball and get out and run. So, those will be some of the things we continue to talk about this week in practice.”
Chinook’s basketball game with Shelby will be at 4pm on Saturday and that game can be heard on KRYK-101.3FM and HiLineToday.com
