HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) − Earlier this month, the Chippewa Cree Business Committee passed their rules for Hemp regulation and production on second reading.
The Title 23 amendment would allow the Chippewa Cree Tribe sole authority over the production and regulation of hemp on the reservation.
A 30-day comment period for the amendment was originally published January 30 for public feedback.
With the passing of the second reading, a public hearing for the proposal will take place Wednesday, February 19 at the Chippewa Cree Tribal Chambers at 4:30 p.m.
