City Council Passes Annual Tax Levy

(Havre) – The Havre City Council reconvened their September meeting to levy various assessments and finalize the budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year on Wednesday night.

The council passed assessments relating to street lights, streets, bullhook maintenance, and solid waste services. After all the assessments were passed the council passed their annual tax levy which will be 299.21 mills for this fiscal year, making the final budget for the City Of Havre $51,221,720.

After the business of the meeting concluded, alderwoman Sarah McKinney announced that she sent her resignation letter from the council in earlier Wednesday, because she has moved out of Ward 4.

The next Havre City Council will be on Monday September 15th at 7pm inside city hall.
