(Havre) – The Havre City Council met in regular session on Monday November 3rd. The main topic of discussion was the 2nd public hearing or Ordinance 940 which establishes the Havre Revitalization District Urban Renewal District with a Tax Increment Financing Provision. After approximately and hour and half of testimony from residents the council unanimously approved the ordinance on first reading. The second and final reading and third public hearing on Ordinance 940 will be at the December 1st Council meeting.
In other action, the city updated ordinances related to animal control issues on second reading, approved the Havre Chamber of Commerce’s request to close streets on November 29th for the Rudolph Run and City Of Havre Public Works Director Trevor Mork made a presentation on various water main distribution projects in the city.
The next Havre City Council meeting is on Monday, December 1st, 7pm in City Hall.
