HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 286 new COVID-19 cases in Montana in their Thursday update.
Flathead County had the most new cases with 62, followed by Missoula and Yellowstone with 31 each, Cascade with 27, and Gallatin with 25.
The active case count in Montana is at 1,851, the highest since late February, while COVID-related hospitalizations are at 135, the most since late January.
The percentage of Montana residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19 remains at 48 percent, with just over 900,000 total doses administered.
In the last week, surveillance testing detected 62 cases that were variants of concern. 79 percent of those were the delta variant.
