
BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) wants to remind proucers of fall-planted crops in Montana to apply for crop insurance coverage before the September 30th sales closing date.
Current policyholders who wish to make changes to their existing coverage also have until that date to do so.
The deadline applies to fall planted wheat with winter coverage and forage production. In select counties, the deadline is also for alfalfa seed.
Producers may select from several coverage options, including yield coverage, revenue protection, and area risk policies.
