Cropping Seminars week of January 5th-9th

(NMB) MSU Extension will host its annual cropping seminar series January 5th through the 9th in the Golden Triangle area. Hill County Extension agent Colleen Pegar tells us what the cropping seminars are all about.

“Inform producers of the upcoming changes, if there is any new varieties and then we also ask the producers to give us a list of what they want to learn about for the next year and so, it’s really driven by their interests and hopefully it’s impactful and beneficial to them.”

Speakers this year will cover topics including input prices and managing price risk, forage options, crop varieties and virtual fencing technologies.

Both commercial and private pesticide licensing recertification will be available too.

Havre and Chester’s cropping seminar will be held on January 6th. To get registered contact Colleen Pegar in Havre at 406-400-2333. To register for the Chester seminar call Jesse Fulbright at 406-759-5625
