HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Independent Record reports that the Dam Bar, located on the north side of Canyon Ferry Lake, is a total loss after a kitchen fire on Saturday afternoon.
The only reported injury was a sprained ankle suffered by a volunteer firefighter.
The fire started just before 3:45 PM and burned through the roof and continued spreading throughout the building. Firefighters worked to ensure the fire remained confined to the building, as hot and dry weather presented the potential for it to turn into a wildfire.
