Details of Modified Blaine County Fair Coming into Focus

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Since the Blaine County Commissioners voted to allow the modified county fair to proceed, more details on what it will look like are coming into focus.

Fair Manager Debbie Ramberg said in an email that on the Thursday and Friday of the fair, there will be a PRCA Bear Paw Roundup Rodeo along with music from the Doo Wah Riders. The Doo Wah Riders will also perform on Saturday night.

The grandstand events of pig wrestling and the demolition derby have been canceled, as has the kids rodeo.

There will be no commercial building vendors or events in the Ag Hall, and five food booths have canceled. The fair does have FFA lined up to provide concessions and possibly a food truck.

The carnival and petting booths had previously been canceled.

The 4-H fair will proceed as scheduled.

The Blaine County Fair is scheduled to begin on August 13th.

A COVID-19 prevention plan is in place and hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the fair grounds.
