(Washington, D.C.) – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced $137 million in funding for 80 projects in high energy physics.
Projects include research on muon and neutrino science, quantum mechanics of black holes, dark matter, and several other topics within the energy, intensity, and cosmic frontiers.The projects were selected by competitive peer review under the DOE Funding Opportunity Announcement for FY 2023 Research Opportunities in High Energy Physics
Total funding is $137 million for projects lasting up to 4 years in duration, with $48 million in fiscal year 2023 dollars and out year funding contingent on congressional appropriations.
