Lewistown, MT – Three innings were played before rain, hail and lightening forced a delay in Havre’s semifinal matchup against the Vauxhall Spurs Saturday evening.
Through three innings in Lewistown, Havre led Vauxhall 4-2. The Northstars gave up one run and scored two of their own in the first and third innings.
At the plate Havre had five batters record six hits, Tyson Brandon had two to lead the team and Tanner DaLerosa had two RBIs on one hit.
Quin Elliot pitched the three innings and gave up four hits. Elliot was on the mound at the top of the fourth with no outs, one ball and zero strikes on the count, before heavy rain and eventual lightning and hail hit the field.
The game started at 4p.m. and was delayed for over two hours before being pushed back till Sunday morning around 10 or 11a.m.
