HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Lifelong Havre resident Ed Hill believes he has what it takes to flip House District 28 back to the Republicans.
Hill recently retired after his job with BNSF Railways after working their for four decades. He is currently a Trustee on the Havre Public School Board and says he wants to give back to the community.
“I just feel as if I need to give back. I’ve always been active in the community and I think I’ve got a pretty good pulse on Havre, being born and raised here. I just think I could make some good decisions for the district.”
Hill describes his political ideology as firmly conservative.
“I’m pretty conservative. I’m passionate about pro-life, definitely. Passionate about second amendment, right to bear arms. I’m passionate about not raising taxes, I think Montanans already have a big enough burden.”
Hill is the only Republican to file for House District 28, which represents the city of Havre. The only other candidate currently in the race is Democrat Krystal Steinmetz.
The deadline to file for the 2020 election is March 9.
