Fair Week is Busy Week for 4H/FFA

(NMB) The Great Northern Fair is always a busy time for the 4H and FFA kids. This year’s edition will be no different. MSU Hill County 4H Extension Agent Colleen Pegar (Pee-gar) says the fair is the opportunity to showcase all the projects to the public.

“This is kind of the cumulation of their end of year, the projects that they’ve been working on and so, it’s their way to display all of those projects and let the public know what 4H is or even FFA is. Let the public see what projects they’ve been doing.”

This Years Great Northern Fair runs Wednesday through Sunday July 15th through the 19th.

The Hill County 4H Livestock sale will take place on Saturday July 18th at 11am, in the Bigger Better Barn and will feature 32 Market Beef, 28 swine, 4 sheep and 6 goats.

The public will also have an opportunity to make silent bids on a selection of the 4H/FFA indoor projects like photography, woodworking, sewing and more.

The Indoor projects will be displayed in the 4H Chuckwagon all week and the silent auction will be Saturday from 9am until 2pm in the Bigger Better Barn.
