Fall Enrollment Numbers at MSUN

(Havre) – The Fall Semester at Montana State University – Northern has been in session for almost a month now. The Fall enrollment numbers are in and according to Chancellor Greg Kegel, there is good news for the institution. “We’re up in both our head count and FTE. Our head count this fall is coming in at 1140 which is an 8.5 percent increase from last year, and then the FTE is up 2.3 percent from last year.”


Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management at MSU-Northern Maura Gatch tells us about this the in-state vs out of state composition of the student body. “We are definitely seeing an increase of in State students. We’re sitting at about 89 percent of our student population are in State students, which as a four year regional institution, the only public institution in the top half of Montana, we’re incredibly excited to see that we are responsive to the local needs and sending students back to their communities.”
