HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A structure fire on Thursday burned a home’s attic just north of Havre.
Assistant Havre Fire Chief Nate Courtnage says they received a report of a structure fire shortly before 11 am Thursday at the 100 block of 16th Street North.
The fire was controlled within an hour and there were no injuries. Crews had to pull out sheetrock and cut holes in gable ends of the house during the course of their work.
The Havre Fire Department brought nine personnel, three trucks and an ambulance to the scene.
It is unclear how much damage to the home was caused beyond the attic, as the house will need to be inspected.
