Fort Belknap Seeing Increase in COVID Cases

Update Thursday morning: Fort Belknap reported 11 new COVID cases and four recoveries on Wednesday. Their active case count is at 39, with no active hospitalizations.

Update: Fort Belknap reported another 10 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. The active case count is now at 32. They recommend everyone wear masks in doors and in crowded areas, especially those who are high risk or immunocompromised.

FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – The Fort Belknap Reservation has seen a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.

After being at no known active cases of the virus, they announced that between Saturday, May 21st and Monday, May 23rd, they were notified of 22 new active confirmed positive cases, with no current hospitalizations.

A press release states that people should continue to practice precautions that have been preached throughout the pandemic, including staying home when sick and wearing a mask if high risk or immunocompromised.
