Foundation for Montana History awards grant to projects in Blaine County, Fort Benton.

(Listening Area) The Foundation for Montana History recently announced its recipients for its 2024 round of grant funding, with two projects in New Media Broadcaster’s listening areas being among the beneficiaries.

The Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Blaine County received a grant for nearly 9 thousand dollars to conduct a non-invasive investigation using ground penetrating radar to identify unmarked graves in the Kuper Memorial Cemetery near Chinook.

The Community Improvement Association in Fort Benton received 10 thousand dollars to complete repairs and restoration of the historic Keelboat Mandan on the banks of Fort Benton.

The Foundation for Montana History has awarded over $1.75 million in grants to 336 recipients in 206 Montana communities between 2012 and 2024.
