HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Thanks to the recent signing of Senate Bill 61, anyone can fish free this Mother’s Day Weekend.
SB 61 was signed by Governor Greg Gianforte in February and introduced by Senator Pat Flowers.
This means that on May 8th and 9th, people can fish in Montana without a fishing license.
Free fishing weekends, which in Montana include Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends now, are a great way for beginners to get out and try their hand at fishing.
