HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A free workshop on retirement planning is scheduled to take place this Wednesday at 6 PM at the Havre-Hill County Library.
This event is being hosted by the MSU-Extension office and will feature a presentation from Joel Schumacher, a specialist in both Ag Economics and Economics. He says his goal is to help people deal with the a topic that can often feel overwhelming.
“Usually I try to break it down into some simpler decisions and take some slices off that are a little more manageable. Try to build people’s skills on those and then it makes it easier for them to make some decisions. And then to understand that there is some help out there.”
Schumacher adds that during his presentation, he’ll allow plenty of time for questions.
“As we go, I’ll pause periodically and ask for extra questions, and we’ll certainly take questions at the end. And then, not uncommonly, once the event is over, a lot of people ask questions one-on-one with me as well. I’m happy to take those questions.”
Schumacher has held workshops throughout the state, but this will be his first time speaking in Havre.
