Fresno Open House Set for Thursday

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is hosting an open house to present information on the Fresno fishery in Havre on Thursday March 10th.

The informational public meeting will begin at 6 PM at the Best Western Plus Inn and Suites at 1425 Highway 2 NW in Havre.

Havre-area fisheries biologist Cody Nagel will provide updates of the newly adopted 10-year fisheries management plan for Fresno. Updates will also be provided on the status of the fishery, including a review of 2021 netting results and other projects. There will also be Bureau of Reclamation project updates and the 2022 water forecasts.

According to FWP, on an annual basis, Fresno records more than 12,350 angler days and generates an estimated $1 million in angling related revenue.
