(Billings – Keller Sherman) Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks is seeking information on two mule deer bucks that were shot and wasted on private property five miles south of Lockwood along Dry Creek.
Wardens responded to a report from the landowner and found the deer dead from gunshot wounds on the private property. The bucks were likely shot and left between October 4th and 5th.
Wasting any part of a game animal that is suitable for food is prohibited and the general rifle hunting season for deer does not begin until October 26th.
