(Helena) With less than a week to go before the final day of the general season, Montana’s Fish, Wildlife, and Parks agency is encouraging hunters to always practice conscientious behavior and show respect for private land and the access landowners provide.
FWP says the five most basic ways hunters can respect landowners include:
• Planning ahead for access
• Respecting private property
• Practicing safe hunting behavior
• Turnining in poachers by visiting tipmont.mt.gov
• and remembering Gratitude goes a long way
FWP says hunters can also show their commitment to developing and maintaining good relationships with landowners by going through the the Hunter-Landowner Stewardship Program.
