GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is requesting public review and comment on the deer season structure in hunting districts 400, 401, 403 and 406.
The Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider whether to continue with the same season for the hunting districts as this year, which was a three week general season followed by two weeks of limited entry white-tailed deer and mule deer antlered buck permits. The alternative is to go back to the 2019 season structure, which was just a three week general license season.
These hunting districts are located in portions of Chouteau, Liberty, Glacier, Pondera, Teton and Toole Counties.
To make a comment or seek further information, call 444-2612 or email fwpwld@mt.gov.
Public comments will be accepted until Monday, January 11th at 5 PM, with final adoption at the February 2021 Commission meeting.
