(Helena) Gov. Greg Gianforte signed a disaster declaration to deploy Montana resources to the southern border.
Gianforte said Montana soldiers volunteered to help Governor Abbott and Operation Lone Star to confront the “invasion on the southern border” and to do vehicle maintenance and repair.
In the video posted to social media Gianforte said he “directed General [J. Peter] Hronek and the Montana National Guard to work with Gov. Greg Abbott and the state of Texas to identify their needs” in February.”
