Gildford Resident Alice Miller Participated in Livestock Seminar

(Dillon) – REAL Montana Class VI participants recently gathered in Dillon to take a deep dive into Montana’s livestock industry. For Gildford resident Alice Miller, and other members of REAL Montana Class VI, this was the seventh seminar in their 10-seminar educational program.

The seminar focused on the economics of livestock production, predator management, livestock nutrition, and the opportunities and challenges of federal grazing.
“Learning from other people actively engaged in agriculture has been a privilege. Each time I attend a seminar, I am encouraged and inspired by industry leaders working to improve agriculture and Montana’s rural communities,” said Miller, who farms and ranches in Gildford and also works for Montana Farmers Union.

REAL Montana (Resource Education and Agriculture Leadership) is a two-year program that builds informed, engaged leaders to strengthen Montana’s natural resource industries. The program includes eight in-state seminars, a national study tour in Washington, D.C., and an international study experience.
