CUT BANK, Mont. (NMB) – In the past two days, two counties on the Hi-Line have announced COVID-19 cases.
The Glacier County Health Department announced its first positive test result on Thursday night. The individual who tested positive is described as a female in her 40s.
Due to patient privacy rights, no other information was released.
The Glacier County Health Department says they are, “actively following up to learn more details about the individual’s exposure risk and travel history and to identify and communicate with anyone who may have been in close contact with the patient.”
On Friday, six new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Toole County.
In a statement on Friday afternoon after two of the six cases were confirmed, County Health Department Director Blair Tomsheck said, “we are working closely with all healthcare entities in Toole County to address these ongoing cases as they are related to current investigations.”
There have now been twelve confirmed COVID-19 cases in Toole County. Three of those have resulted in death.
As of Friday afternoon, 262 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in Montana. That includes 11 in Cascade County, and one each in Hill, Liberty, and Roosevelt.
