GLACIER NATIONAL PARK (NMB) – Officials with Glacier National Park have announced that Going-to-the-Sun Road will not be fully open until at least July 13th.
This date is not a prediction, but is to help with trip planning purposes.
Until the road is fully open, the road may be accessed via the St. Mary entrance on the east side without a vehicle reservation.
The parks free shuttle will accommodate the late opening.
Beginning July 1st, the east side shuttle will run from 8 AM-7 PM daily for all stops between St. Mary and Sun Point. A shuttle with a bike trailer will also be running.
On the west side, shuttles will run from 7 AM-7 PM daily, offering all stops between Apgar and Avalanche Campground. A shuttle with a bike trailer will also be running.
