(Montana) Governor Greg Gianforte ordered all flags be flown at half-staff on Monday in memory of the passing of Pope Francis.
This proclamation is pursuant to the same given at the federal level by president Donald Trump, the governor also says it was down out of respect for the now deceased leader of the worldwide Catholic Church.
Francis passed away Easter Sunday at the age of 88.
The pope will likely be succeeded by one of nine candidates, that successor will be chosen in the coming weeks.
