Great Falls alcohol vendors compliance checks

(Great Falls) – The Great Falls police department conducted a compliance check of businesses selling alcohol on April 11th.

The purpose of the exercise was to ensure license holders were working to prevent the sale of alcohol to individuals under 21.

Volunteers consisted of 19- and 20-year-olds possessing valid identification. 25 randomly selected establishments were selected, in which 3 were closed to the public, 17 passed and 5 failed.

The results of the 25 establishments checked showed a success rate of 91%, an increase to the 76% when the same exercise was conducted in August of 2023.

The violators were issued citations.
